Since Saturday, 362 new COVID-19 cases have been reported from across the country, with two deaths - one each in Kerala and Karnataka.

Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
The total number of active cases in the city stood at 92,358.
Both the leaders exchanged views on various regional and global challenges posed by the pandemic and highlighted the importance of close India-Japan cooperation to overcome these challenges.
Prof Santosh Kumar, respiratory medicine department KGMU, said, "In every viral infection, platelet count drops. Therefore, one should not ignore fatigue and exhaustion and get themselves tested for Covid-19."
The Centre said that prompt and targeted action needs to be focused on specific districts/cities/areas in order to flatten the current curve of the epidemic which may be identified by States as per the parameter -- where test positivity is of 10 per cent or more in the last one week or bed occupancy is of more than 60 per cent on either oxygen supported or ICU beds.
He urged Indians to consult their family doctor or any doctor in their neighbourhood before taking any kind of medication to treat COVID-19.
