A total of 122 people tested positive for coronavirus in the country during the past 24 hours, according to the data issued by the health ministry on Monday.

The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.

Out of the new cases, Maharashtra reported the highest with 40 cases, followed by Karnataka 26 and West Bengal 16 cases.

The national capital reported four new cases.

According to the ministry, no death was reported during the said period. The death toll stands at 5,33,454.

On a positive note, 73 people recovered from the disease, taking the total recovery to 4,44,91,285 in the country.

The total number of active cases stands at 1,522.
