Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
The country’s active COVID-19 cases stand at 26,82,751.
The Prime Minister added that he had asked the Pakistan Army to assist the police and law enforcement agencies in enforcing SOPs to deal with the COVID-19 situation.
