Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
It further informed that as many 2,361 persons of Tablighi Jamaat were evacuated by Delhi Police on March 29.
The state capital, Raipur, has been reporting 900-1,000 coronavirus cases daily and has been declared a containment zone.
'We have approved an economic package of Rs 1,350 crores for Jammu and Kashmir's struggling business community. This is additional to the benefits of the Atmanirbhar Abhiyan, earlier announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,' LG Manoj Sinha said.
According to the health ministry data, the recovery rate of India stands at 79.28 per cent which is the highest in the world.
As many as 61,037 coronavirus tests were conducted, which included 49,834 rapid antigen tests and 11,203 TPCR/CBNAAT/True Nat tests.
