In a scathing attack on the Congress on Tuesday, Bollywood actress and BJP candidate from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency Kangana Ranaut asserted that the party neither has a leader nor policy. She accused the Congress of engaging solely in politics driven by appeasement and nepotism.
The Congress candidate from Mandi said he is contesting the election with a vision to make the constituency the best in the country.
The contest was triangular between Tashi Gyalson (BJP), Tsering Namgyal (Congress) and Haji Haneefa Jaan (independent candidate from Kargil).
Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Shelly Oberoi on Tuesday asserted that the public is completely ready to respond to the “dictatorship” of BJP by their votes.
While the accused was arrested on Monday, efforts are on to round up the others involved in the incident.
Ms Das was speaking at a programme organised at the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here on the eve of International Nurses Day on May 12.
Later they also held a road show in support of AAP's East Delhi LS candidate Kuldeep Kumar.
According to police, the result of the examination was declared on Thursday.
