A 19-year-old teenager attempted suicide by consuming acid after allegedly being sexually assaulted and blackmailed by a man in South West Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, police said on Wednesday.
A man was fatally stabbed and a teenager critically injured in a knife attack in Kolkata’s Beninandan Street area under Kalighat police station on Friday afternoon.
The teenager was assaulted by the assailants following an altercation, the police said on Friday.
The Delhi Police, on Friday, arrested a man for the alleged molestation of a teenager in the Karawal Nagar area of North East Delhi.
According to the officials, during the interrogation it has been revealed that the deceased was from the same locality and used to allegedly bully the two assailants, demanding for money from them which they weren’t able to pay, which led the assailants to take this extreme step.
The deceased, identified as Pankaj, a resident of the same area, had an altercation with three people over some matter when one of them took out a firearm and shot at the deceased before fleeing the scene.
A youth allegedly hurled an acid bulb on a 17-year-old girl in Dulmi area under Tamna police station area of Purulia district last evening.
A teenager allegedly committed suicide after her boyfriend made their private pictures and videos public, a police official said on Tuesday.
The nabbed teenager was also involved in the killing of one Himanshu Sapat on November 15, 2021 in the Karawal Nagar area.
