Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
Paul reminded that a "third wave can be stopped if Covid appropriate behaviour is followed, and the majority of people get vaccinated".
The State on Tuesday logged below 3000-mark for the first time in the last two months while 38 fresh deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, pushing the cumulative death toll to 3,671.
This is the fifth consecutive day in the last two months when the death toll is below the 2,000-mark and also the 15th consecutive day when India has reported less than one lakh new cases.
