Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
She said she was convinced that "we need to increase the production of vaccines on the basis of licenses as quickly as possible".
The state achieved this feat after around 85 days since the second Covid wave hit.
This is the eighth consecutive day in the last two months when the death toll has been below the 2,000-mark.
Experts of CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices met on Wednesday to review risks of these rare heart problems in the vaccinated younger population, reports Xinhua news agency.
The State’s recovery rate currently stands at 95.77% while the active cases account for 3.79% of total positive cases registered in the State.
