Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
Xinhua news agency quoted Secretary-General of the Indonesian Hospital Association (PERSI), Lia Gardenia Partakusuma as saying that amongst the victims, 405 were general practitioners, 43 dentists, 328 nurses, 160 midwives, and 95 others.
