In the hospital, brother of the deceased Jitendra told the police that on the day of incident, one person, namely, Gulfam had taken his brother Rinku from his house at around 11 pm on his bike. Later, Gulfam returned at about 12.30 am and informed that he along with Rinku met with an accident at Old Wazirabad Bridge and Rinku was lying injured.
A four-storey building collapsed in North Delhi's Shastri Nagar area on Monday morning, an official said.
According to the police, the deceased, who appears to be 20-25 years of age, has not been identified as yet. The police have preserved the dead body and are trying to ascertain his identity.
It is alleged that the accused took the victim to his house and raped her. He even threatened her for disclosing the incident to anyone.
The incident is said to have occurred on Monday at 2nd Pusta Soniya Vihar area, when information about the incident was passed to the local Wazirabad police.
The deceased has been identified as Izhar. A case has been registered at Sarai Rohilla Police Station and investigation has been initiated.
