Since Saturday, 362 new COVID-19 cases have been reported from across the country, with two deaths - one each in Kerala and Karnataka.

Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
One victim already is the Sheroes Cafe run by 15 acid attack victims. The Cafe pulled its shutters down two days ago as no guests were coming and losses were mounting, said the survivors. The movie Chhapaak with Deepika Padukone had highlighted the Cafe and the life of the survivors.
Meanwhile, the opposition parties too contended that lockdown was not a solution to prevent Covid-19 infection as it would only make lives more difficult.
States such as Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan have shown a steep rise in new Covid-19 cases.
“I have tested positive for Covid-19 today. I have home isolated myself. All those who came in contact with me recently please take necessary precautions," he tweeted.
The data showed people who wear masks are also those who tend to reduce their mobility.
