Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
Beginning the virtual press briefing on the Coronavirus situation in Delhi, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said, 'Our country is fighting two wars against China - one at the border and another against virus from China.'
'I believe this year specially calls for all of us to be unified and helpful and is not the time to pull each other down,' he posted on Instagram.
