Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
Prime Minister Modi said that a huge country like Brazil, with a similar population to Uttar Pradesh, has suffered around 65,000 deaths due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Globally 12,012,720 people have been infected with the virus while 548,914 people have died due to it.
