An absconder wanted in a kidnapping and rape case in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district has been arrested.
Acting on a tip-off, officers of Ramnagar police station arrested Shaya, who was on the run since 2015, Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjay Rain said.
In order to facilitate speedy disposal of cases, SSP Rayes Bhat had recently directed all subordinate units to constitute special teams to arrest absconders.
