Launched a scathing attack on the TMC, Dilip Ghosh has accused the Mamata Banerjee-led party of institutionalising corruption, extortion and political violence across West Bengal.
West Bengal Panchayat, Rural Development and Animal Resources Development Minister Dilip Ghosh on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the previous Trinamul Congress (TMC) administration, alleging that “threat culture”, corruption and administrative irregularities had crippled governance in the state for years.
According to Ghosh, the previous administration failed to adequately respond to public grievances and neglected issues affecting ordinary people across the state.
Amid the ongoing demolition operations, Dilip Ghosh issued a strong warning against illegal occupation of public land, asserting that bulldozers would be used wherever unlawful structures are found.
The FIR was registered on May 15 at the Bidhannagar North Cyber Crime Police Station against Abhishek Banerjee over alleged provocative and threatening remarks delivered during election rallies across West Bengal.
"This double standard cannot continue. Either they will have to say there is no corona in the state or they will have to suspend the polls. There will be a gathering of thousands in the election meeting of Mamata Banerjee. Is there anyone who can arrest them? They will only arrest Dilip Ghosh, Suvendu Adhikari and the BJP supporters,"
"They (Trinamool) are saying that there is no Corona in the state. If that is so, why are they not allowing local trains to operate? Why are they not allowing schools to open? For the last one year, they have not conducted civic polls because of the pandemic. Just because of Mamata Banerjee, the Trinamool is now putting pressure on the ECI for conducting the bypolls..."
The grassroots miscreants are taking chances and torturing people. As a result, the residents of these areas think that if they work together, there will be no improvement. So, they have demanded a separate state. The people's representatives in the area have raised the voice of the people there. We are not in favour of any division,"
“If the demand for a separate north Bengal or Junglemahal gathers steam, it is Mamata Banerjee who must bear the responsibility.”
“People through national media know that TMC is an anarchist party could kill anybody if he or she raises any anti-TMC issue. Even the party-backed miscreants did not hesitate to rape women of the Opposition party. So people anywhere in India will put tough resistance to restrict their entry...BJP workers are in no way associated with any incident because we know that the TMC is the least important party in Tripura,” Ghosh said.
