Vice-Chancellor Prof. Umesh Rai said on Wednesday that the University of Jammu is holding a "Special Convocation" on 22 June, wherein 211 Gold Medals for the years 2016–2019 and 265 PhD degrees for the years 2017–2019 will be awarded to the students.

About five CBI investigations have been ordered against the state government in the last two weeks. The latest is the alleged gang rape and murder of a minor at Hanskhali. The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday directed senior IPS officer Damayanti Sen to oversee the investigation into four recent cases of rape that were reported in West Bengal.

Asking the CM to reflect on her words, he expressed surprise as he wrote: “Hon’ble CM applauding What! “Disorder” in the House! We all need to work to blossom democracy.” He has complained to the speaker, the ruling party Ministers/MLAs virtually subjecting Governor to “Gherao” and in the process also made him suffer "unprintable indigestible invectives".
Dhankhar said he was shocked to learn that the secretary of the assembly gave in writing that he has conveyed to the marshal who has but declined. “This is a very serious development and must not be treated as a trivial matter. How can the chief marshal act in such a manner? Where are we heading?”
Mr Dhankhar had written, “Governance in the state, constitutionally cliffhanging, requires us both to act in togetherness to serve the people. I earnestly appeal to you to accord the highest priority to this interaction at the earliest. It is our bounden duty and constitutional oath to ensure there is no constitutional stalemate.”
“The chief minister is not following the constitution and is not responding to my letters seeking information on different issues. But her constitutional responsibilities are to provide me necessary information. My duty is to restrict her inside constitutional boundary. Hope, she would respond to my queries.”
