Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
The people of Wuhan are bracing for the second outbreak of Covid19 and it is fervently to be hoped that virus shall not spread further afield.
So far, 24,750,738 vaccine doses have been administered in the South American country.
Kerala has 50 per cent of the daily new Covid cases in the country, while the state's TPR hovers around 12 per cent, the national average is below 4 per cent.
