Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
Asked about the likely empty stands at the stadiums during the IPL, Madan Lal said everybody should be thankful enough that the IPL was starting at least.
The state presently has a two-day weekend lockdown which is likely to continue next month also.
It has also relaxed Covid-19 protocol for Indians travelling to other states for work for up to five days.
Globally, the overall number of Coronavirus cases has surpassed the 24 million-mark, while the deaths have crossed 824,000, according to the Johns Hopkins University.
The recovery rate is more than 90 per cent in the national capital, Kejriwal said and added that the death rate is 1.4 per cent, among the lowest in the country.
