Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that the BJP government in the state is only making noise in the name of attracting investment, as everyone knows that its results will be zero.

“Where is the result card of the previous investors’ conference? Last time as well, the BJP government had organized an investors’ summit with similar noise and claimed to have MoUs worth lakhs of crores, but no investment was visible on the ground,” he said.

The former Chief Minister of the state said that when there was no investment within the country, ministers and officials were made to go on foreign tours where the result would be a big zero.

Yadav in a statement here on Thursday said: “CM Yogi himself had gone to Mumbai to persuade industrialists to come to UP. But witnessing the condition of UP, no industrialist and businessman is ready to invest here. In the matter of capital investment, the BJP government seems to be brandishing sticks in the air.”

He further stated that due to the wrong policies of the BJP government, UP is constantly lagging behind in terms of development.

“Uttar Pradesh has reached the lowest rung among all the states of the country regarding the growth rate of the financial year 2021-22. The BJP government is completely responsible for this. Now, will the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh get hoardings installed for this negative achievement too,” he asked.

The SP president demanded that the BJP government and the Chief Minister should tell how many of the MoUs they mentioned have been implemented in the past six years. The traders of the state are very sad due to the government policies, recovery and raids, and the ever-changing new provisions of GST, he added.

He further claimed that the development and capital investment that has happened in UP only under the Samajwadi Party government.

“The capital investments that have taken place in UP in the last few years are a result of the industrial policies of the Samajwadi Party government. IT City in Lucknow, International Stadium, Samsung Unit in Noida, Amul Milk Plant in Lucknow and other districts. All this is the investment of the SP government’s time which is visible,” he said.
