Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, unveiled a statue of Bharat Ratna Dr. B R Ambedkar at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office complex in Hamirpur on Monday.
The CM said all the genuine demands of the employees and workers of the state were being considered sympathetically.
Thakur stated that all the major district roads have been restored for vehicular traffic and all out efforts were made to open the link roads to ensure people do not face any inconvenience.
The Governor added that the traditional seeds should be protected and Biodiversity Register should be made at the Panchayat level.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said Himachal Pradesh is known as Veer Bhoomi. “Coming here, it becomes clear that the brave soldiers of Himachal have made the supreme sacrifice of their lives while showing their valor and courage to protect the boundaries of the country,” he added.
After laying foundation stone of ropeway for Mata Baglamukhi temple in Mandi district, he said tout of these, the detailed project report of one has been prepared for ropeway from Bharmour to Bharmani Mata Temple in Chamba district to be constructed at a cost of Rs 120 crore.
