Chhattisgarh: CBI to probe alleged irregularities in PSC Exam-2021
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during a Cabinet meeting on January 3 this year had decided to refer the matter to the CBI for a comprehensive inquiry.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has booked former Haryana Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer and Principal Secretary (PS) to former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Murari Lal Tayal in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
The Central probing agency has booked Tayal along with his family members under Section 13 (2), read with 13(1) (e), of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 9 crore.
The case has been registered at CBI’s Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in Chandigarh.

Search was carried out at the residential premises of Tayal on the basis of the FIR registered at Manesar Police Station in Gurgaon and subsequent case registered by the CBI in Manesar Land Scam case.
During the probe it was revealed that Tayal while working in the capacity of the public servant has acquired huge assets in the form of movable and immovable properties in his name and in the name of his family members.
Tayal, of 1976 batch IAS officer, was allocated Haryana cadre and was PS to the former Haryana Chief Minister BS Hooda.
In connection with the Manesar land deal scam, the central probing agency, earlier, had also raided the residences of Hooda, a sitting Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) member Chhatar Singh, former Haryana IAS officer ML Tayal and a serving IAS officers from the state, SS Dhillon in this regard.
