The Tamil Nadu government has ordered educational institutions in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur, besides coastal taluks of Villupuram to stay closed due to the severe cyclonic storm ‘Vardah’.
Earlier, Anna University had cancelled the exams scheduled on December 5 to 8 owing to the sudden demise of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
The exams scheduled on November 30 and December 1 were postponed owing to the forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department about cyclone Nada.
The exam scheduled on December 1 was rescheduled to December 17 and the other examination were scheduled to end on January 12, 2017.
Now, the Anna university will conduct the theory examination from December 17.
