Chhattisgarh: CBI to probe alleged irregularities in PSC Exam-2021
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai during a Cabinet meeting on January 3 this year had decided to refer the matter to the CBI for a comprehensive inquiry.
The Special CBI court has sent Saigal Hussein, bodyguard of TMC Birbhum district president Anubrata Mondal to a week’s CBI custody.
Yesterday, the bodyguard was arrested after a long grilling session at Nizam Palace by the CBI officials. He was brought to Asansol today and produced before the Special CBI court.
Last night, the CBI seized huge gold ornaments from an apartment in Newtown in Rajarhat, which belonged to some close associate of Saigal Hussein, sources said.

The CBI has grilled Anubrata Mondal and Saigal Hussein several times in connection with the multi crores cross border cattle smuggling scam.
Mohammad Enamul Haque, the main accused and Satish Kumar, commandant of Border Security Force (BSF) have already been arrested in this case.
Meanwhile, another accused Binoy Mishra is absconding. His brother Bikash Mishra who has also been arrested has been released on bail few days ago.
The CBI has sought 14 days custody for Saigal Hussein today but the court rejected the request of CBI and granted eight days CBI custody.
He was brought to Asansol amidst tight security; CRPF men provided security to the CBI convoy. He was taken back to Nizam Palace for further interrogations.
Political sources said, now with the arrest of his body guard, Anubrata Mondal is under severe pressure. The CBI has also grilled his daughter over her assets. A number of people, who called Anubrata Mondal on his cell phone were also interrogated at Durgapur camp office yesterday, including students, teachers and businessmen.
