PM likely to hold roadshow in Ayodhya on May 5
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to hold a big roadshow in Ayodhya on May 5 after darshan of Ram Lalla, in support of BJP candidate from Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency Lallu Singh.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed confidence that his visit to Singapore for the East Asia Summit would impart a fresh momentum to India’s growing partnership with ASEAN and East Asian nations.
In a statement before his departure for the 14-15 November summit, he said that apart from the East Asia Summit and related meetings, he would attend the ASEAN-India Summit and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) leaders’ meeting.
‘’My participation in these meetings symbolises our continued commitment to strengthening our engagement with ASEAN member states and with the wider Indo-Pacific region. I am looking forward to my interactions with other ASEAN and East Asia Summit Leaders,’’ Modi said. The PM would also meet a number of world leaders, including US Vice-President Mike Pence, on the margins of various summits.

The PM said that he would have the honour to be the first head of government to deliver the keynote address at the Singapore Fintech Festival on Wednesday. As the world’s largest event on financial technology, the festival was the right forum not only to showcase India’s strengths in this fast-growing sector, but also to forge global partnerships for fostering innovation and growth, he added.
During the visit, he said he would also have the opportunity to interact with the participants and winners of the joint India-Singapore Hackathon. ‘’It is my firm belief that if we provide the right encouragement and a nurturing ecosystem, our youth has the ability to become global leaders in providing solutions to the challenges facing humanity,’’ he added.
On the margins of various events in Singapore, India, the United States, Japan and Australia will also hold their quadrilateral meeting to review peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. This will be the third meeting of the quad, widely seen as a grouping which is concerned over the rise and growing influence of China.
