The murder was executed by Akash Singh Rajput, Vishal Singh Chouhan, and Anand Kurmi in the presence of Sonam at Arliang Riat Kunongrim, Umblai near Wei Sawdong.
A team of Meghalaya Police returned to Indore from Shillong along with property dealer Shilom James, and conducted searches at his house in Indore and his in-laws' house at Ratlam on Sunday.

During the scanning of the call details of Sonam, key accused in the case and widow of the deceased, the Meghalaya Police found that she spoke to one Sanjay Verma, about 235 times between March 1 and April 8.
Raja Raghuvanshi, who was in Meghalaya for his honeymoon with his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, was brutally killed in serene Weisawdong by three men in a chilling plot allegedly orchestrated by his spouse and her suspected lover and co-accused Raj Kushwaha.
“We want a narco test on Sonam, her parents, her brother Govind, and her sister-in-law," Raja's elder brother Vipin Raghuvanshi told some media persons in Indore.
As per the reports, Sonam paid the hitmen using a bank account that was registered in the name of Jitendra Raghuvanshi.
