The initiative will establish a long-term sovereign energy and compute platform designed to position India as a global leader in the emerging Intelligence Revolution.
Under this initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed for the establishment of a 1 gigawatt (GW) High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub. On Thursday, YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh handed over the Letter of Intent to representatives of AM Group.
The event is being organised by Project Mumbai, an award-winning NGO, and is being supported by the government of Maharashtra, the Environment and Climate Change Department, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), as per the statement.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the progress and preparatory work related to the proposed Agham Hydroelectric Project on the Shyok River.
A key highlight of this project is the strategic unbundling of the scope into multiple packages, all of which were executed directly by TPREL.
The first milestone was the synchronization of the 3rd Unit (Unit #1 of 250 MW) with the National Grid, successfully accomplished at 21:00 hours on 31.01.2026
According to the national portal, more than 58.36 lakh applications have been received across the country so far, while more than 10.94 lakh applications have been registered in Uttar Pradesh alone.
The Chief Minister was briefed in detail about the benefits of this new facility constructed by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in the heart of the city.
The meeting was chaired by Deepak Kumar, Infrastructure & Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC), Government of Uttar Pradesh, and attended by senior state government officials.
