The initiative will establish a long-term sovereign energy and compute platform designed to position India as a global leader in the emerging Intelligence Revolution.
Under this initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed for the establishment of a 1 gigawatt (GW) High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub. On Thursday, YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh handed over the Letter of Intent to representatives of AM Group.
The event is being organised by Project Mumbai, an award-winning NGO, and is being supported by the government of Maharashtra, the Environment and Climate Change Department, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), as per the statement.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the progress and preparatory work related to the proposed Agham Hydroelectric Project on the Shyok River.
The country added 44.5 GW of renewable energy during the year (up to November), nearly doubling the capacity added during the same period in 2024, according to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

According to an official statement, the first-of-its-kind initiative seeks to create 6,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of integrated Rare Earth Permanent Magnet (REPM) manufacturing capacity in India.
