Gehlot also sought to dismiss the narrative that the events of September 25, 2022, represented a revolt against the party High Command.
The senior Congress leader said that the BJP government is out to declare Rajasthan – the land of "Padharo Mhare Desh" (welcome to our land) – as a "disturbed state". The state has an identity and popularity worldwide as the land of rich hospitality, brotherhood, harmonious social ties, and inclusive culture, Gehlot said here in a statement.
"What is happening in the country is a serious development, it is a threat to democracy. For instance, in Bihar 60 lakh voters have so far been deleted from the revised electoral rolls and not even a single name added," the senior Congress leader alleged.
