According to police reports, DYFI activists Shijal and Shabin Lala procured steel containers for the production of explosives, raising concerns about the extent of organizational involvement in unlawful activities.
“The handbook deals with rules regarding opinion polls, exit polls, pre-certification of ads and paid news etc,” an official of the Election Commission of India said.
During the visit, on 12th and 13th March, the poll panel’s delegation-led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar will meet top officials concerned to take stock of the security situation and preparations for the polls, added sources.
