Adressing a press conference along with Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, Atishi said, "In view of the G20 summit, all schools, colleges and offices will remain closed across Delhi from September 8 to September 10..."
The state government has appealed to the public to take note of the new timings and plan to visit the offices accordingly.
The police carried out raids at the offices of the PFI and its front organisations across the state on Friday and many of them have been closed and sealed.
"There would be no work from home for any employee from Monday," the government said in an instruction issued to all departments.
The new officials of the passport department said that all government and private offices will be open soon.
Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the district has reported some dengue cases recently. The tiny hamlet of Dudhia on the foothills of Kurseong has witnessed an outbreak with 28 cases there. Darjeeling District Magistrate S Ponnambalam has also instructed officials overseeing construction projects to ensure that water does not accumulate at the work sites.
