On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at Vijay Smarak, Fort William, Kolkata, to honour the courageous soldiers who fought and sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War.
The ceremony was conducted in the presence of veterans from all Artillery Regiments, which got the honour title “KARGIL” in Operation Vijay.

On this day, the Indian Army ousted Pakistani intruders and regained Tiger Hill and other posts as part of Operation Vijay.
