The action was taken against the officials after a video surfaced on social media in which they were seen indulging in a drunken brawl at a highway restaurant.

The sources said that some of the bureaucrats and police officers will be questioned about their assets and would be asked to specify the source of income for the purchase of such assets.
The officers will reach out to farmers and dissuade them from joining the agitation. The leave of all officers in the state has been canceled till October 18.
According to the home department spokesman, the state government has removed the Superintendents (SP) of Gorakhpur, Unnao, Pilibhit, Ballia, Hapur, Rampur, Chitrakoot, Baghpat, and Lalitpur in the midnight reshuffle.
PAC commandant Agra, Poonam is the new Amroha SP, while Amroha SP Suniti has been shifted to DGP headquarters in Lucknow.
This is the third reshuffle of IPS officers after the M.K. Stalin government assumed office.
In reply, the state government has suggested a video conference due to the pandemic. Centre’s response is still awaited.
