Ahead of the Assembly elections in Bengal, another reshuffle has taken place in the state police administration, with four IPS officers transferred.
Additional Director General (ADG) of Prayagraj Zone Sanjeev Gupta has been removed from his post and attached to Lucknow.

The 16 IPS officers fell out of favour with the new government led by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu since they were perceived to be close to the YSRCP government which had been in power between 2019 and 2024.

PAC commandant Agra, Poonam is the new Amroha SP, while Amroha SP Suniti has been shifted to DGP headquarters in Lucknow.
This is the third reshuffle of IPS officers after the M.K. Stalin government assumed office.
In reply, the state government has suggested a video conference due to the pandemic. Centre’s response is still awaited.
