Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has ordered a probe after his government faced flak for taking a farmer, arrested in connection with the attack on government officials, to hospital in handcuffs and shackles after he suffered a heart attack.
He said the lab-to-land gap between science and farmers has to be reduced. ''We are continuously making efforts to ensure timely delivery of correct information from scientists to farmers. Krishi Vigyan Kendra is also making many efforts in this direction,'' he added.
He said that another team has also been sent to Nellore region of Andhra Pradesh to nab those who indulged in violence.
In a post on 'X', he said appropriate legal proceedings will be done against those responsible in this matter.
The meeting between the farmer union leaders and the government ended in a stalemate on Monday with no common ground in sight.
