India reported 2,961 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, witnessing a fall from Friday's tally of 3,611 cases, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday.

While there is a sporadic outbreak of cases, no cluster outbreak of the disease has been reported so far.
A review meeting chaired by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya noted on Friday that seven states are reporting high number of Covid cases in India with rising test positivity rate, which include Kerala, Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Haryana.
It was observed that 23 states/UTs had average tests per million below the national average.
The High Court Registry, which had decided to hold hybrid hearings of cases from Monday, has now advised lawyers to opt for virtual mode of hearings, to the extent possible.
CM said more than 41700 pathology tests were being conducted free of cost in the state everyday.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the Delhi government is closely monitoring the situation arising from new COVID cases.
The country had reported 3,016 cases on Thursday with a case positivity rate of 2.73 per cent which declined to 2.61 per cent today.
Instructions have also been given to strictly monitor the cases of Respiratory Tract Infection, Influenza Like Illness (ILI) and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) in all the districts.
According to a bulletin issued by the Delhi Health department, the Capital did not register a single death from Covid over the last 24 hours.
