Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 20,57,20,660 people have been vaccinated so far in the country.

In a media release the government said it will add 500 more oxygenated beds at the Tirunelveli Medical college hospital in addition to the existing 1,600 beds including 940 oxygenated beds.
