Other states that have reported significant case numbers include Maharashtra (209), Delhi (104), Gujarat (83), and Karnataka (47).
The total COVID-19 caseload of the country has risen to 4,50,26,261. These also include the JN.1 Covid variant cases.
According to the ministry, Karnataka reported 61 cases, followed by Maharashtra 35 and Kerala 25 cases.
The Covid caseload rose to 4,50,21,383 with the addition of the new cases of infections.
All religious places would, however, remain open while following social distancing and other necessary norms.
Globally 13,287,651 people have been infected with the virus while 5,77,954 people have died due to it according to Johns Hopkins University tracker.
According to the Delhi government's daily health bulletin, as many as 93,236 people have recovered, almost five times the number of active cases which stands at 18,664.
The minister said that he has gone into self-quarantine from 4 pm on Tuesday. He reasoned that Raina 'had accompanied us from Srinagar to Bandipora on 12th July.'
