On 26 November, India celebrated Constitution Day, a day to commemorate the adoption of its foundational legal document in 1949.
Eastern Railway observed Constitution Day throughout its jurisdiction today. Officers and staff at Eastern Railway headquarters, led by Sheelendra Pratap Singh, Additional General Manager, Eastern Railway read the Preamble to the Constitution on this occasion.
He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by initiating the observance of Constitution Day, has helped enhance public awareness and appreciation of democratic values.
