Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday paid his respects to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and all the distinguished members of the Constituent Assembly on the occasion of Constitution Day, and extended his greetings to citizens across the country.
In a post on the social media platform X, Shah stated that the Constitution of India—the guiding framework of the world’s largest democracy—provides every citizen with equal opportunities, a dignified life, and a clear set of rights and duties, thereby paving the way for building a strong and resilient nation.

He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, by initiating the observance of Constitution Day, has helped enhance public awareness and appreciation of democratic values.
Shah further said, “From Kashmir to Bodoland, our Constitution grows stronger. Congratulations to our sisters and brothers in Jammu and Kashmir and the Bodoland Territorial Region on the launch of the Constitution of India in the Kashmiri and Bodo languages.”
According to Shah, this historic milestone, marked by the President of India on Constitution Day, will ensure that people in these regions can imbibe constitutional values more deeply and make them an integral part of national life.
The Home Minister also noted that Prime Minister Modi has ushered in an era of peace and progress in these regions by effectively implementing the Constitution on the ground, and that these new translations will provide fresh momentum to those efforts.
