Suvendu to join KMC’s three-day cleanliness, fitness drive ahead of Yoga Day

The minister gave directions to the civic body agencies as he inspected several garbage hotspots in the Hari Nagar Assembly Constituency, thereby strengthening the government’s efforts to keep the city clean.
The Special Campaign aimed at promoting cleanliness, streamlining work, and addressing pending grievances across the Ministry and its Autonomous Bodies.
Apart from cleanliness activities, considerable effort was made to reduce pendency in public grievances, MP, PMO & state government references, appeals, and parliamentary assurances.
During the campaign carried out at 5,377 locations, several milestones have been achieved. Cantonments promoted the principles of "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle” as part of their commitment to sustainable development and environmental conservation.
The chief minister stated that her government has been conducting cleanliness and sanitation drives after every major festival as it is firmly committed to maintaining the cleanliness of the national capital.
Under the cleanliness campaigns, a total of 1,588 spots were cleaned and 824 CTUs were transformed.
Participating offices are required to report their progress on a daily basis, a statement from the Ministry of Education said
The drive was part of Seva Pakhwada, a fortnight-long campaign being observed nationwide from September 17 to October 2 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
He also planted saplings and administered the ‘Swachhata’ pledge to residents of the area.
