On Sunday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police said it has busted a LeT (TRF) module and arrested four terror associates involved in the conspiracy behind the killing of a civilian, Mohd Shafi Lone alias Sonu, a resident of Naidkhai.
Police said the terrorists fired indiscriminately upon a civilian identified as Javeed Ahmad Malik near his house at Larugam Tral, Awantipora. He was shifted to a hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said that terrorists fired indiscriminately upon a police party at Sazgaripora, Hawal, in which one police personnel, Farooq Ahmad Chopan and a civilian, Muneer Ahmad got injured. They were shifted to the hospital.
Taking cognisance of the Noorbagh road accident in Chattabal area of Srinagar during an encounter, the police said that necessary legal action has been initiated in the case.
