In a statement, the Assam Rifles said the drug item was seized in an operation at Phaitol village under Tamenglong district in Manipur.

In another raid, the Central paramilitary troopers along with Mizoram police on Thursday recovered three pistols, 174 live rounds, three kg explosives, nine detonators, and other such stores including Improvised Explosive Devices from a jungle at Hmawngbu village.
The security forces immediately swung into action and fired a couple of rounds towards the location from where the grenades were lobbed. The injured local was rushed by security forces to the company base of Assam Rifles, where he was given first aid and stabilised, and was then moved to Mon for further treatment.
Assam Rifles sources said that acting on intelligence inputs the para-military troopers along with Manipur Police recovered the hidden arms and ammunition in a house in the border town of Moreh under Tengnoupal district.
