According to reports, an army jawan is believed to have been injured in the firing.

Personnel of the CRPF, Indian Army and Special Operations Group of the J-K Police are involved in the search-and-cordon operation.

On Tuesday, terrorists lobbed grenades and fired indiscriminately at the Water Pump House outside the AFS at Malangpora in south Kashmir. The alertness of the security force personnel prevented the terrorists from inflicting any damage to life or property.

Quick retaliation by the security force personnel forced the terrorists to flee following which a massive search operation was launched.
