The regional party releases its fifth list of candidates for Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh.

In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday released the fifth list of six candidates.

The list has the name of former MP Dharmendra Yadav from Azamgarh, Jitendra Dohre from Etawah, Mahendra Nagar from Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bhim Nishad from Sultanpur, Manoj Kumar Rajvanshi from Misrikh and Narayan Das Ahirwar from Jalaun.

Earlier, the SP had announced 37 names. After the fifth list, the party has far declared candidates for 48. However, the number is actually 45 as after the alliance with the INDIA block, Varanasi Lok Sabha seat has gone to the Congress. So the party will have to remove its candidate from there.

Apart from this, Shafiqur Rahman Burke, who was an MP from Sambhal, has passed away. The party had announced his name before his death. Now the candidate will have to be announced there too. Bhadoi seat has been given to the TMC.
