The second day of the three-day annual festival program ‘Abhyuday Annual Festival’ at Patanjali University and Patanjali Ayurved College commenced with sports competitions. The competitions were inaugurated by the Chancellor of Patanjali University, Acharya Balkrishna, Union Minister of Cooperation B.L. Varma, Cooperation Minister of Uttarakhand Dhansingh Rawat, and Cooperation Secretary Alok Pandey with the lighting of the lamp.

Following this, honorable guests inaugurated the kabaddi and wrestling competitions.

On the occasion, Varma said that Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishna have worked to bring international fame to yoga and Ayurveda.

He mentioned that the students of Patanjali University are shining across India as along with education, yoga, culture, and sports are being promoted here.

He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also making efforts to promote sports continuously, and the Khelo India and Fit India signify his commitment towards the sports.

“Today, not only our brothers but also our sisters are bringing medals for the country. All of you, Patanjali University, work to advance your state and country,” he added.

Addressing the event, Acharya Balkrishna said that Patanjali University is inspired by the efforts of Baba Ramdev.

“Our aim is to develop students physically, mentally, and intellectually, which is possible through sports,” Balakrishna said.

Uttarakhand’s Cooperation Minister Dhansingh Rawat highlighted the progress of  Patanjali University and said that everyone should get their an Ayushman card and Aadhaar ID generated, through which health services worth Rs. 5 lakh are available for free.

He also informed the university students about the scholarships provided by the state government in the field of education.
