Under the breach of VVIP security protocol rule, a woman Junior Engineer of Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) in Rajasthan was suspended from the service for allegedly trying to touch the feet of President Droupadi Murmu when she landed at a helipad in Pali district to address a Scout and Guide Jamboree on January 4.
The Chief Engineer (Administration) of PHED issued the order in compliance to the Pali Collector’s order yesterday, an official told SNS on Saturday.
Based on the Pali Collector and Union Home MInistry’s order, the state government (PHED) also took it as a violation of protocol after ten days of the incident.
JEN Amba Siyol was currently posted at PHED’s Chauki in Pali, and a departmental inquiry would not be initiated and she would be called with a show cause notice for interrogation on the matter, and know her intention of trying to touch feet of the President, the official said.
It was said that Siyol was on duty at the venue for taking care of water arrangements from the department, but she probably breached the security circuit in which Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and other senior civil, police and army personnel were standing in two separate queues for the President’s welcome.
