A gunfight broke out on Wednesday between militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district.
“When the forces were conducting the searches the militants opened fire on them, triggering a gun battle”, police said.
According to the police, ”The encounter has started in Shopian district. Security forces are on the job”.

The security forces cordoned off the area and launched a hunt for the militants.
No casualties have been reported yet.
