Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus becomes the seventh Hindi film to cross the Rs 300-crore mark in India.

Yes, you read it right. Padmaavat has emerged a mega success after a hard fought controversial battle with the Karni Sena.

The makers of the film shared the news on their Instagram account on Thursday afternoon.

Padmaavat is now all time blockbuster and stands at the seventh spot in the highest grossing Hindi films ever.

Cinema business tracker Ramesh Bala tweeted about the highest grossers in India on his Twitter account.

This is indeed a glorious moment for the entire team of Padmaavat, who had to go through a lot during the release of the film. Their latest accomplishment has been a big surprise for them and seems like Deepika Padukone was right when she said,”It’s not over yet

Padmaavat has now solidified its place as the biggest blockbusters of Bollywood and not only this but the film has also been breaking records across the globe.

With the film making its way to the Rs 300-crore club, Padmaavat has become the first Rs 300-crore film for Deepika, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, and also for the director Bhansali.

But the film’s mammoth success has been a milestone for one specific person — Deepika.

Deepika now has four Rs 100-crore films (Race 2, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Goliyuon Ki Rasleela RamLeela and Bajirao Mastani) , two Rs 200-crore film (Chennai Express and Happy New Year) and now the recent Rs 300-crore blockbuster Padmaavat.

The film has become a success story that many will narrate for the next several years.

Padmaavat was released worldwide on January 25 in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
