All India Police Science Congress to focus on social media-related crimes

All India Police Science Congress, which is organised every year to discuss challenges related to policing, would focus on social media related crime and changes in law that are required to deal with it in its 46th edition.

The 46th All India Police Science Congress, which is being organised at Shimla from 22 and 23 March, would also focus of modern challenges before the law enforcement agencies as information security, cryptocurrencies and better management of investigations.

The experts would also hold discussions to curb cultivation of drugs and find out solutions to curb the growing trends among the affected states of the country, Superintendent of Police, Law and order Khushal Sharma said.

Sharma said around 100 Police officers from all states, union territories, Central Reserve and Security forces would attend the seminar.

“Besides this, social scientists, forensic scientists, educationists and other stakeholders would also participate and deliberations would be made to resolve the challenges,” he said.
