Hoteliers invite tourists to Shimla again as water crisis ends

With water crisis in ‘Queen of Hills’ Shimla is almost over, the hoteliers are now encouraging the tourists to visit the state capital without any apprehensions.

Hotel and Restaurant Association of Northern India president Sanjay Sood said tourism which is the backbone of Shimla and entire hill state, had taken a hit due to the water crisis over last month, the but things have now become normal.

“There should not be any apprehensions in visiting the city as guest facilitation is the prime concern of the hospitality industry. As stakeholders, we would like to assure all travelers visiting Himachal Pradesh and particularly Shimla that the hospitality fraternity is totally equipped to handle all requirements and aspirations,” he said.

Sood thanked Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and acting Chief Justice Sanjay Karol for ensuring proper water supply in establishments which cater to tourists and said the government is coming out with roadmap to boost tourism in the state.

“The urgency of the situation demands that constructive information is circulated through the media to tourism and tourist inflow in the state. Pleasant weather and mesmerizing hills awaits tourists from the country and the world,” he added.
